SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

(Articles, Books, Products)

 

 

 

ARTICLES

 

We are very interested in creating a large database of articles to be of use to readers and about a wide variety of topics.  We do not currently pay for articles unless they are part of a series, but we will provide an Internet presence for you indefinitely in our article database, which will be valuable in building your author platform.  We will also occasionally link authors in our database to editors interested in their work and will provide the connection free of charge as a courtesy to our colleagues – you never know, you could get “discovered” here!

 

The following are topics we are particularly searching for, but if your article doesn’t fit into those parameters, that’s perfectly alright – we like to expand our horizons whenever possible and encourage you to do the same. 

 

Walking with God

Family, Hearth, Home

Education

Cooking, Health, Nutrition

Agricultural and Food Issues

Gardening, Nature

Spiritual Issues (the occult, the New Age, cults)

 

 

BOOKS

 

We are open to many book ideas, but our main categories are Adult Fiction, Adult Narrative Non Fiction and How To, Young Adult Fiction and Non Fiction, Juvenile Fiction and Non Fiction, and Picture Books.  We love cookbooks and how to nutrition and gardening!  It would be helpful to include one of these categories in your submission query email's subject field if they apply. 

 

PRODUCTS

 

We love products that make life easier, more fun and joyful, prettier, and more meaningful.  Think old time general store meets groovy, funky, interesting shop. My store manager calls it "Cracker Barrel for the Soul!"  We are crazy about beautiful and all natural or hand crafted items.  Godly messages are especially encouraged.  We also love “the story behind the glory” so it’s particularly helpful if you tell us about yourself as well as your product. 

 

ALL SUBMISSIONS

 

We ask that you submit a QUERY only, first.  Please do not attach an article or manuscript, or put an article in the body of an email.  To submit, please send an email to figandvine@mail.com.  Also, please enter “Article Submission,” “Book Submission,” or “Product Submission” in the subject field.  *Hint – you should be able to describe your work in a single, attention grabbing sentence!  It’s a great way to get our attention. We are very busy!  And we see some really good stuff! That and a few explanatory sentences will suffice for your query email. 

 

Unsolicited manuscripts, articles, or attachments will not be accepted or opened!  Please wait until a Fig & Vine representative responds to your query before sending those.
